Good Scholarship

Get your college career started with a Good Scholarship.

Each year, Lone Star Credit Union provides two $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors attending a two-year accredited college or state licensed trade or technical school. Applications are due April 14, 2023, and winners will be announced by May 8, 2023.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicant must be a Member of Lone Star Credit Union or have at least one parent or legal guardian who is a Member of Lone Star Credit Union. (Account must be in good standing and opened prior to January 1, 2023.)
Applicant must be a high school senior.
Applicant must be planning to attend a two-year accredited community college or a state licensed trade or technical school.
Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
Upon being selected to receive the scholarship, applicant must be able to provide LSCU with a written acceptance letter or proof of enrollment.

Entry Requirements:

Complete and submit the scholarship application below
- Provide copy of applicant’s high school transcript (unofficial)
- Submit a typed or video essay autobiographical essay between 500-750 words that can include any of the following:
  - About you
  - High school achievements
  - Extracurricular activities
  - Family
  - Work experience
  - Community involvement
  - Hobbies
  - College plans
  - Career goals
  - What this scholarship would mean to you
